Not a fan of Miley Cyrus…

But girl’s got taste in shoes!

Mmmmm, Isabel Marant’s chain wrapped boots. Tough chicness, they’re amazing.

il_fullxfull.53082768Vintage shoes… is there anything more I can say? I can’t remember where I found these, but they’ve been saved on my laptop for a while.

I adore the lace and the clear glass pointed heel, they’re just absolutely dainty. Almost My Fair Lady-esque. Does anyone want to make me a pair? Pretty please!

Alive!

I promise Shoe Me In is still alive! I’ve just been really caught up with midterms and everything…. but let me show you all a new pair of shoes that arrived in the mail for me a couple of days ago. Forgive me, I don’t actually have a camera with me right now, so this was taken with my webcam!

Picture 018I love these shoes to death! They’re from Forever 21. Super comfortable. I can’t decide what I like most about them, the color or the detailing? My roommates and I are in love with this pair, haha.

Now I just have to plan the perfect outfit around it… Funny huhn? Usually people plan the outfit then add the shoes, I like to do it the other way around!

Do you like them? What would you pair with these heels? Help me out!

Ok, despite Karl Lagerfeld’s eccentricities, I absolutely adore his artistry. The Chanel RTW Spring 2010 show has taken my breath away. I loved the homey barnyard/country look of his show and how all of his models/outfits were just the right amount of this soft chic flavor, enough to be adorable every-day-wear but still high fashion. The blends of tweed with flowing transparent chiffon & colors of pastels starkly contrasting with black…. I felt like each model looked like they were in some sort of faerie-land, the outfits were so ethereal and they looked like ballet costumes.

I’ve noticed that this fashion season, transparent tattooed tights seem to be very in. Better snatch up a pair when you can, cause they look amazing!

Now about the footwear… I’m not sure how I felt about those clogs, I felt like they tied in the collection perfectly, but I would never be caught on the street wearing a pair. And they look like DEATH to walk in, ouch!

But these shoes on the otherhand, I would definitely purchase.

I like how soft the black appears against the carved ivory heel. I’m in love, how about you?

Can fashion shows just never end? I love seeing what the designers come up with, they’re just so clever!

Sorry for not updating in a while, I’m currently sick and not feeling very well. I’ll leave you all with a pair of Karl Lagerfeld Spring 2010 heels that are gorgeous and inspiring.

Cheers!

DEAL: 30% off Naturalizer

Starting tomorrow, October 1st, through October 4th take 30% off your order at Naturalizer! Just remember to use the code FFJ39.

I am liking how I can get a pair of really nice leather boots (Naturalizer Brommsly) for around $100 when the original price was $150… not bad, considering that Naturalizer shoes are so comfortably padded.

Don’t forget you get FREE SHIPPING if your order is over $200! And you can return in-store, as long as there is a Naturalizer nearby. I always purchase enough to get Free Shipping, just in case I want to return something later. 😉 That way I don’t get deducted for shipping costs!

Booties, What a Cutie!

I think it’s fair to say that booties are now one of THE top fashion trends of this season and probably going to stick around for at least another year. They’re just so adorable and nice to wear. Instead of being completely like boots, designers have changed the “bootie” to display different features. They take on the style of sandals and even peep-toe heels… or they stick to the normal shortened boot style.

I have two pairs of booties… and I definitely want more. Here are some of my current internet shopping cart picks!

Oh and right now, Urban Outfitters has Free Shipping on orders over $75! Use the code “SHIPYEAH“. It expires on October 5th. There are a lot of new shoes in stock and a lot of good items on sale! 🙂

Christopher Bailey designed some very spot-on items for his Burberry Prorsum ready-to-wear Spring 2010 collection. I’m not sure if I can say it was a complete hit or a miss though, there are some things that I loved and other things that caused me to raise my eyebrow. His colors were amazing though, I liked the beige, natural, and neutral tones that went along with everything.

My favorite item of clothing to wear are coats: peacoats, trenchcoats, etc. I just think that they’re so much fun and gorgeous. Bailey definitely impressed me with a couple of coat designs that he had created:

I thought it was interesting how his collection featured all these cinched, twisted, and knotted looks.

However, I don’t think I would ever wear that knotted and twisty looking skirt, not sure how well it would translate from the runway into the streets.

And the footwear of his models kind of bothered me…

I’m not a really big fan of the jersey socks underneath platform sandals. And that slouchiness of the socks just really clashed with the gathered look of the sandals.

What did you think? Love it, hate it, or don’t care much for it?

I am a big big fan of Stuart Weitzman, he is incredibly creative.. Just wanted to share one of my favorites! 🙂 Definitely something that I’m considering saving up for… or maybe I should save up for some Louboutins? Too many shoes, not enough money..

Anyway today is the first day of school for me, so I’ll just end this post short and sweet. Look at how fierce it appears, I love the lace-up part that softens up the platform just the right amount.

Cheers!

I am absolutely breath-taken by Marchesa’s Spring 2010 collection’s shoes. Christian Louboutin usually works with Marchesa to create amazing heels that the models strut down the runway in. And this year, I think Louboutin has outdone himself… if there is ever such a thing.

What impressed me most out of all the shoes were the ankle booties that the models wore. I loved the cute patent bow and the see-through mesh of the shoe itself. My favorite part, though, is definitely the heel area… that beautiful feathered white design starchly contrasting with Louboutin’s iconic red. It gave the perfect sophisticated but fierce look to the heels itself.

I also am really enjoying Marchesa’s detail on the model’s feet. I think it’s great to see the play upon the mesh of the bootie with the black flowers seemingly-tattooed onto their feet. Aren’t you just dying for a pair? I know I am!
